There were 40 players hitting off in the annual Fred Bannister Memorial Golf Day which we held at the Port Kembla Golf Club. Although numbers down, all in attendance had a great day. After last years wash-out, the responsibility for the weather was taken off Brian White and given to Laurie Sainsbury. Well done, Laurie!!The winners were a three-man team, Tony Hunt, Peter Rutledge (on crutches), and Mike Prance.
The runners-up (Dick Kostrubiec Memorial Shield ) were John Odewahn, Terry Gilchrist, Bob Preston and the weatherman, Laurie Sainsbury.A big thank you to Sue Condon and Dianne Kostrubiec for presenting the memorial trophies for Fred Bannister and Dick Kostrubiec on the day.
